My motivation is to become the best possible cricketer I can be. I feel like my challenge is to reach my potential. Everyday when I go to training or go to the gym, I’m challenging myself. Is this day going to make me better? Am I getting closer to achieving my goal?
HONESTY AND AUTHENTICITY
The rules I live by are honesty and authenticity. Trying to be honest with myself and my game. Am I practicing like I said I would? Am I doing the things I said I would, to help me get better? Am I living a professional lifestyle? And authenticity means being myself. Not trying to be anyone else. I’m trying to be the best version of myself.
I love what I do because it’s giving me the chance to live out my dreams as a kid. I play cricket for a living, if anyone could give you that option as a youngster, to play a game for your living, one that you absolutely love, it’s just the best possible gift.
THE TASTE OF SUCCESS
The ambition is to improve every single day, and get better and better, and reach my potential. But with that, it’s to taste success. The times I’ve tasted it, that 20 seconds of pure elation, that day celebrating a big series win, or winning a trophy, is something I want to taste again...
