We are proud to announce an exclusive partnership with GL Dameck, granting Castore the Umbro Professional Team Sports sub-license. This landmark agreement allows us to market and supply the Umbro brand across key European markets, including the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
This collaboration is a vast milestone for Castore, following our £145 million investment round in November 2023, reinforcing our commitment to redefining performance in elite sportswear. By integrating Umbro’s storied legacy—one that has crafted some of the most iconic football kits of all time—with our agile, digital-first supply model, we continue to challenge and elevate the market landscape, creating a compelling force alongside Nike and adidas.
Umbro’s legacy of excellence and authenticity finds new life in this partnership, as Castore’s innovation-driven approach pushes both brands to greater heights. The deal also sets the stage for a strategic brand segmentation initiative, strengthening our position across the UK and European elite sports markets.
Our journey has always been defined by bold, pioneering moves, and this collaboration continues that tradition. Having built a global presence through partnerships with over 50 leading sports teams, we’re eager to bring the same precision, digital expertise, and fan-focused approach to Umbro’s timeless brand.
From the start of the 2024/25 season, we will extend this partnership to English Premier League teams AFC Bournemouth, Brentford, Luton Town, and West Ham, as well as key English Football League Clubs including Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Forest Green Rovers.
Additionally, our reach under the Umbro brand extends to the Scottish Premiership with Heart of Midlothian, complementing Castore’s ongoing global kit partnership with Glasgow Rangers FC, and England Rugby’s men’s and women’s teams as rugby enjoys renewed attention during the Guinness Six Nations.
Castore founders Tom and Phil Beahon expressed: “We are thrilled to blend Castore’s dynamic, technology-driven model with Umbro’s legacy of football heritage, reaching new generations of fans and elevating the sport. This is a pivotal step in Castore’s journey of continuous innovation and growth.”
Ewan Scott, CEO & Joint Founder of GL Dameck, added: “We are delighted to partner with Tom, Phil, and their team in this groundbreaking elite sports relationship. Castore’s technology-led approach combined with Umbro’s century of authenticity in sports enables both partners to increase visibility on the field of play, whilst providing consumers with first class kit design and innovation.”
About Umbro
