For Everyone That Wears It
England Rugby 26/27 Home Kit
The England shirt is never worn lightly.
It carries history, expectation and responsibility in equal measure. Passed from player to player, generation to generation, it represents far more than the eighty minutes it appears on the pitch.
“You don’t own it,” says England Rugby’s second row Alex Coles. “You only borrow it to pass it on in a better place.”
That understanding shaped the England Rugby 26/27 Home Kit from the very beginning.
Heritage, Reborn
The 26/27 Home Kit takes inspiration from England Rugby’s history, reinterpreting it through a modern performance lens. The foundation remains unmistakably English: a clean white jersey, refined detailing and a timeless silhouette built for the demands of the modern Test game.
The collection was designed around the forces of nature and the physicality of rugby itself. The engineered jacquard pattern flows from smooth to textured surfaces across the jersey, reflecting movement, resilience and evolution. Fluid lines move through the fabric like shifting air currents, creating a sense of energy within the shirt itself.
“We don’t just wear it. We honour it,” says England Rugby player and Castore Athlete Cadan Murley. That responsibility sits behind every detail of the design.
Built for the Highest Level
At Test level, small details matter.
The engineered knit construction integrates breathable zones directly into the fabric to improve airflow during high-intensity moments, while a new moisture management finish helps draw sweat away from the skin faster under pressure. Lightweight by design, the jersey was developed to move naturally with the demands of elite rugby without compromising durability.
This season, abrasion testing requirements were doubled during development to ensure the fabric could withstand repeated contact and collisions across eighty minutes. “The knit structure needed to feel lightweight while still remaining robust enough for elite competition,” explains the Castore designer behind the home kit.
Every element exists for performance. Nothing unnecessary. Nothing decorative without purpose.
More Than The Players Wearing It
For some players, the England shirt represents years of sacrifice. For others, it marks the beginning of something they have dreamed about since childhood. But the feeling remains the same every time the red rose is pulled on.
“Wearing the shirt is deeply meaningful to me,” says Red Roses prop Sarah Bern. “There is a personal responsibility that comes with wearing the red rose.” Abi Burton describes it as “something I never take for granted,” while Ollie Lawrence simply calls it “everything.”
This Home Kit was designed to reflect that connection. A jersey shaped by heritage, engineered for modern rugby and created for everyone that wears it.

Reimagining The Rose
The England Rugby 26/27 Alternate Kit was designed to challenge expectation.
Built around the idea of inversion, it reimagines one of the most recognisable symbols in English sport through vibrant colour, chrome detailing and a bold new visual identity. The result is a jersey that reflects the energy, ambition and constant evolution of the modern game.
“The Alternate Kit was designed to represent evolution and ambition,” explains the Castore designer behind the collection. “We wanted to create something bold and energetic while still staying connected to the heritage of England Rugby.”
Like every England Rugby jersey, performance sits at the centre of the design. Lightweight construction, engineered breathability and advanced moisture management technology help players perform under pressure, while enhanced durability ensures the shirt is built for the demands of Test rugby.
A new expression of the rose. Designed for the next chapter.
